It’s been over a year since we launched our Vision 2030 initiative.
In that time, we’ve taken steps to ensure that our plans come to fruition and that we’re leading the way for a more ethical and sustainable construction industry, one key metric at a time.
At Sapphire Balconies, we believe that our business has a crucial role in promoting sustainability and protecting the environment for future generations. As a company, we are committed to integrating Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles into our operations, from product design to corporate decision-making.
So, what have we done on the road towards our vision for 2030?
What have we started?
Since launching our Vision 2030 roadmap, we’ve achieved the following incredible milestones:
- Secured Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) on our Next Generation suite.
- Committed to further reducing our Scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions.
- Continued to push innovation in balcony design and manufacturing, including launching our Clip-On™ connection, Identité Balustrades, Crescent Corner balcony, and our Freeze-Thaw whitepaper with even more innovations to come before the end of 2024.
- Continued to donate to numerous charities thanks to our staff in the last year. These charities include PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide, Thames Valley Air Ambulance, CRASH – Construction Industry’s Charity and the British Heart Foundation.
- Continued to consistently deliver CPDs and thought leadership events to the market.
But that’s not all – there’s much, much more to come.
What’s on our roadmap?
Our Vision 2030 roadmap is bold, but we’re making great progress. In the coming years, you’ll be seeing:
- ZERO Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions by 2050.
- Pas 2060 Carbon Neutral certification
- PlanetMark Certification
- PCF certification
- Commitment to SBTi
- 100% of our company vehicles being powered by electricity.
- 20,000 balconies sold in 2030.
